Heart to Heart with the Soundtrap Education Specialist Team

  • Join the US Education Specialist Team for a heart to heart conversation focusing on the music and podcasting projects they LOVE. This will be a session full of project samples, project ideas, and pro tips for using Soundtrap in your class!

When registering and participating with this virtual course, it’s important to attend all sessions. To provide additional assistance, a 30-minute Q&A/demo period will occur after each session (participation optional).

Participate with these interactive lesson(s) and learn:
1. To teach your students to collaboratively compose and produce songs.
2. To use an online digital audio workstation (DAW) such as Soundtrap.
3. To incorporate a Project-Based Learning (PBL) unit that incorporates Social Emotional Learning.

Who We Be: Radical Representations of Student Identities through Sound with Michael Lipset and Haben Ghebregergish

  • In this session, participants will work with facilitators of learning from the High School for Recording Arts to experience the power of the recording arts through Soundtrap, a signature, remote music production platform for education. The purpose will be to understand how to create culturally sustaining content for the classroom and how to do so in partnership with culturally sustaining art educators. Ultimately, participants will be supported in the production of a lesson plan that includes Soundtrap and a partnership with a teaching artist, with their artifact as a model.
